In regards to your 1st email, as long as you use the correct Merchant details when you come to integrate you should be able to take payments using the newer site. Let me know if you do encounter errors with this and we can look into it further if needed.

In regards to your 2nd email, it depends on the login you use to access MMS. If you login to the Super User account you should be able to unlock accounts and create users up to Merchant Administrator role. The vthl user name is the Super User login so this should give you the ability to add users, if not then please let me know so we can investigate further.
