The invasion of Iraq was called Operation Iraqi Freedom. It started in March 20th when congress sent the troops in and ended in 1st of may 2003. The troops who pulled off the invasion were from many countries, such as the US, UK, Australia and Poland. The operation was put into action due to information that Iraq had possession of weapons of mass destruction and end to Saddam Hussein's rule because he supported terrorism.
