When large amounts of Protestant generals gathered in Paris for the marriage of Henry of Navarre and Marie' de Medici queen Elizabeth had a plan. She organized the killing of nearly all of the Protestant generals that were in the city at the time. This became a nation wide massacre in France that led to the killing of thousands of Protestants.
