1984’s Graffiti led the development of children’s festivals around the country, starting with its festival ACTIVATE in 1992, in conjunction with the EVERYMAN theatre in Cork. Since then, many children's festivals have developed all across Ireland (Jordan and Weitz, 162). Such as Roscommon Art’s Centre ‘Lollipops’, ‘Hullabaloo!’ In Offaly, and ‘Sticky Fingers’ festival in Newry.
