1 jan 1746 ano - Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier

Descrição:

He was a French nobleman and chemist
He began the conversation on what an atom was exactly.
Antoine was responsible for the first breakthrough in the study of chemical reactions between 1772 and 1794.
Lavoisier found that mass is conserved in a chemical reaction.
The total mass of the products of a chemical reaction is always the same as the total mass of the starting materials consumed in the reaction.
His results led to one of the fundamental laws of chemical behavior: The Law of Conservation of Matter, which states that matter is conserved in a chemical reaction, that matter cannot be made or destroyed.
Lavoisier was known for his experimentation skills.
One of his favorite experiments being turing HgO into Hg+O. He used this experiment to help himself come up with the Law of Conservation.
He also hints at the rearrangement of matter in reactions. Matter rearranged, but never disappeared.
