Nov. 26, 1835. Erastus “Deaf” Smith came bearing word of a Mexican supply train that he thought had silver and food. SFA Send James bowie and some men to go capture it. Thay did Mexican tree Mexicans killed 14 wounded. Only one Texan wounded. The Texan came back with 40 mules and grass to feed the Mexican animals.
