The Battle of Gonzales was led by Domingo Ugartechea, and it was the 1st battle of the Texas Revolution. The battle was over a cannon that was given to the Texans by Franciso Castenada who led the Mexicans troops. This was weapon was used to protect themselves from Native Americans. The “Come And Take It” flag was derived from this battle.
