This was a book written by the propaganda minister Goebbles. It presented Nazi themes and was seen as a model book.
Throughout the Nazi regime, literature was heavily controlled. There was a list of banned books that were removed from shops and libraries. Students were encouraged to books that were un-German and Jewish (read "The Book Thief" if you're interested!). The books that were permitted were about the the thrill of war and dying for the fatherland.
