As more and more Catholics convert to Protestantism, the Church developed a plan that would reconvert the converts and further expand Catholic influence to other parts of the world. In 1534, the Jesuit Order was formed to carry out the job, they were known for their efficiency, skill, effective propaganda. As the Jesuits were spread out across Europe, Asia and the Americas to preach Catholicism. Many of Protestants (re)converted (back) to Catholicism while the Indigenous populations of the Americas and Asia were subject to assimilation.
