At Autumn Budget 2017, as part of HM Government's ‘Industrial Strategy’: building a Britain Fit for the Future (27 November 2017) government (BEIS & Innovate UK) partnered with academia and industry to create the Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) at the University of Cambridge. The remit of CDBB (which is the successor of the UK BIM task group 2011-2017) is to expand digitisation and data use beyond construction efficiency to help create high performing assets in their operation and to support the growth of our current and future cities (see also What is Digital Built Britain?)
