Marco Polo was born January 8, 1254. He traveled to China and documented his journey there and while he was held as a prisoner. When his journeys finally found their way back to Europe, Marco became famous, he even later inspired Christopher Columbus's journey. About a hundred years after Marco's journey to China other explorers travel the same path.
