In his writing, Montesquieu writes about the three different government types, which included republics, despotisms, and monarchies. he placed emphasis on how democracies left the power in the hands of those that they govern. This inspired the Constitution by showing the writers the benefits to these potential systems but how overall, a republic system provides the most freedom to its people.
