An artillery bombardment of West-Beirut continued during the day of 7th. At the end of the day Berri proposed a cease-fire and replaced his militia with army units. All of South and West Beirut was now in the hands of Amal and the psp, with some pockets controlled by radical Palestinian and Lebanese group
