The Asana Uprising is a Kazakh uprising against forced collectivization , a campaign to collect agricultural products and livestock. Occurred in August - September 1930 in the Kazaly district of the Kyzylorda region. It was a continuation of the Kyzylkum uprising (spring of 1930), which was headed by Ishan Akmyrza Tosov. The participants in the uprising were descendants of the Shekty clan - Asan of the Younger zhuz . The reason for the uprising was the arrest by officers of the OGPU of residents of the 22nd aul D. Asanov [9] , J. Tleubaeva [10] , A. Kaldybaeva [11]and B.Tleuliyev, who refused to pay grain tax. The peasants freed them by force. Auls No. 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25 and the neighboring Aral region joined the rebels . The number of participants reached almost 1000 people. The uprising was led by Imam Maxim Orymbbetov (in the data of the OGPU - Syrymbetov).
