The reaction of the Bolsheviks to the Muromtsevo uprising was quick. Already on March 5, the village of Ryazan was surrounded by punitive detachments that broke the main forces of the rebels, among whom, according to official party data, 16 people died, and according to the security officers - 31. 700 rebels were taken prisoner. It is possible that in battle several dozens were injured, but information about the wounded requires clarification.
