In the area of Markozha, the Kazakh Basmachi defeated the Soviet detachment Petin, during which 35 people were killed by the rebels (among them one of the leaders of the uprising, Pirmagambet Laubayev) and 40 killed by the punishers. On the same day, another Sarbaz detachment forced a detachment under the command of Guschin.
