The covenant was taken as an agreement to only believe in one God and to lobe him rather than the multiple gods that were believed in back at that time.
Moses was born from Hebrew slaves and was liked by the Pharaoh before he killed an Egyptian man who harassed a slave.
He fled to Midian where God communicated to him through a burning bush mentioning that He is the chosen one to set the Israelites free and into the promised land.
He led the slaves out of bondage and convinced the Pharaoh to let all the Hebrew people go.
One day, the angel of death was to go to Egypt and take the first born child of each family in the region, God told Moses to tell the people there to smear lamb’s blood on their doors in order for the angel of death to pass over their house, creating the holiday of Passover.
