Polyethylene is the most commonly used plastic in modern manufacturing when reinforcing products at a low weight. The invention of high density polyethylene would allow plastic toys to be manufactured at a large scale and cheap price for better durability. This discovery was made by Karl Ziegler and Erhard Holzkamp.
