23 set 1955 ano - Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam confess to murdering Emmett Till
Descrição:
After being acquitted (declared to be innocent) by a court made entirely of white men, Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam confess to murdering Emmett Till days later. The fact that they were the murderers in the end yet justice was not given in the courtroom caused outrage among many people, further motivating the Civil Rights movement to strive for equality. The excessive violence of Emmett Till's death shone light upon the brutality and the injustice that Jim Crow institutionalized.
