On December 7, 1941, the attack known as the Attack on Pearl Harbor brought the United States into World War II. Japan was the country who attacked Pearl Harbor the reasoning being that in order to take over all of the Pacific, they would need to take over the Philippines which at the time was United States territory. This event was so significant because just for days after, Hitler declared war on the United States because of the state they were in after the bombing. If the United States had never entered the war, the outcomes of it would've been very different from what they were and there may have not been a Battle of Midway which was a major turning point in the war.
