The bombing of Nagasaki is often known as what ended the war. In Japan Nagasaki was a shipbuilding center, the very industry intended for destruction, it was dropped at 11:02 a.m., 1,650 feet above the city. The destruction was equivalent to the force of 22,000 tons of TNT. The amount of people killed was estimated 60,000-80,000. If the Japanese had not surrendered after this massive bombing attack the U.S had another that was equally if not more destructive ready to launch, but thankfully this was not necessary because the Japanese surrendered shorty after.
