This was a 40 acre farm on Barteau Lane that was under a P&S from a developer, Habitek. The farm was under Ch 61A, so it was offered to the Town to buy, but the Trust and SVT partnered to buy it after the Town granted us the right of first refusal. Unfortunately an environmental report resulted in SVT having to pull out.

Ten large houses were ultimately built on it, but what we know of as the Have Not Pond Conservation Area was saved, due in large part to the involvement of the BCTrust in the subsequent subdivision approval process. This project was the reason the BCTrust was started.
