General Ulysses S. Grant was the commander of the Union army for the tail end of the war and served later on as the president for 2 terms. Grant lead the Union Army in the Battle of Shiloh and the Battle of Vicksburg, both of which he lead well. He is most famously known for his decisive win at Gettysburg that was a major turning point in the favor of the Union. Grant fought in the Battle of Shiloh and the Battle of Vicksburg, both of which he lead well.
