The Kuiper Belt is also referred to the Trans-Neptunian area, as it is the area outside of the planet Neptune. The Kuiper Belt is thought to be the home of trillion of comet nuclei. Another feature of the Kuiper Belt is that the ices found in the area can date back to the formation of the solar system itself.
