General Thomas Jackson earned his nickname "stonewall" in the first battle of Bull Run. In the battle, he charged his army in a defensive line on a bridge against Union attacks. General Barnard E. Bee praised: "There is Jackson standing like a stone wall." He is the "right arm" of Robert E. Lee.
