Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and it's also the smallest planet in the Solar System. Mercury was classifed as a Terrestrial planet and it doesnt have any moons. For Mercury to orbit around the whole sun it takes 88 days, but for it to spin on it's axis it takes 58 Earth days. Mercury completes three rotations on its axis when it's orbiting around the Sun. Although it's the closest to the Sun, it is not the hottest planet. It can reach up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit. Mercury is .39 AU away from the Sun.
