The abuse prevention and control act or the CSA was the US government's declaration of war on drugs this law put drugs into five categories schedule 1 schedule 2 and so forth. This law was used as a political tool to demonize the hippies and the “ blacks” grouping them with the drugs like marijuana heroin and LSD.
