º The National Porfirian Circle, under the name of Nationalist Party, proposed to the Congress, the reforms to the Constitution to create the vice presidency and the extension of the presidential term, from four to eight years. The vice-presidency was approved and a term of office of president and vice-president of six years was approved. Thus, the presidential administration was instituted for the first time.
