The next day the battle commenced, but the Lamanites were not so willing to fight anymore. They soon gave up the field and fled back to there own lands.

The war was over. It had lasted 7 years, and while the Nephites had suffered much in the early years, they had emerged the victors, with all their lands still in their possession.
