WWI Begins
Germany started to create an empire of weaponry and industry and France, who is right next to Germany, doesn’t support of this. Germany needs warm water access, as they are on the north coast, so they make allies with Austro-Hungary for their access to warm water. Italy also joins these two countries because they are mad at France. France then makes allies with Russia because they both border Germany and England sides with them as well because England’s navy feels threatened by Germany’s rapidly growing navy. Serbia sides with Russia, France and England as well. Serbians attack the Austro-Hungarian arch duke and kills him, which is what starts the battles. Then Russia attacks Austro-Hungary, Germany attacks Russia, France attacks Germany and then England also attacks Germany.
