Abraham Lincoln was a statesman and lawyer that became the 16th president of the United States. During his presidency, he was assassinated by a well known stage actor, John Wilkes Booth while attending a play at the Ford Theatre. During his term as president Lincoln is most well known for leading the United States through the American Civil War.
