The Fourteenth Amendment was created to grant citizenship to anyone who was born in the United States of America. This was another amendment created to grant citizenship to African Americans who were born into slavery in the United States. This was another huge turning point for African Americans, even though racism was still a large conflict in the South as well as in the North.
