On April 19th, 1995, a car bomb exploded in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Resulting in the deaths of 168 people and over 500 were injured. There was a daycare inside of the building, and 19 of those who were killed were children. The people suspected of the crime were Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. These two men were born in America, and were domestic terrorists, and the bombing is still the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in the United States. Their motivations was anger by the FBI's poor handling of the Waco Siege and their suspicions of unlawful invasion of privacy. Both men were arrested and sentenced. McVeigh was given the death penalty and was executed on June 11th 2001, and Nichols was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole, and is still serving his sentence today.
