The Watergate Scandal was a political scandal that happened in June of 1972 and regarded the incumbent president, Richard Nixon. A group of people broke into the Watergate Complex in D.C. and stole different important documents. After reporters looked further into the people after they were arrested, they saw points that connected them with Richard Nixon's administration. They concluded that Nixon's administration had purposely told the people to take the certain documents, and after a constitution crisis that occurred after the administration began to dodge investigations, President Nixon was forced to resign.
