For the first time in the war, Israel crosses the ceasefire line along Syria, heading for their capital Damascus. Meanwhile, Soviet ambassador to the US, Anatoly Dobrynin, tells Henry Kisinger that Soviets are prepared to aid Egypt and Syria in any way possible, and that as they speak, Soviet aircrafts are enterring the region. Kissinger replies by saying that if Soviets sent any military personnel to the Middle East region, so to would the USA.
