The date is the day the act passed- The enabling act was a legislation that allowed Adolf Hitler to pass any laws without needing the Reichstag to be involved. This meant that he could make the plans he had outlined in his MEIN KAMPF book, come to fruition. However, this act did have a SUNSET CLAUSE that would take this power away after a certain amount of time but this clause was actively ignored which is what ultimately lead to the tyranny Hitler then imposed.
