The Atari Lynx is a 16-bit handheld and was the worlds first handheld electronic game with a color LCD. The Lynx competed with the Game Boy (which released two months later), as well as the Game Gear and TurboExpress (which released the following year). It was discontinued in 1996 when Atari left the video game console market.
