Kathryn begins to create the world's magic as she believes it should be. She has literally nothing better to do while life around her continues to grow and become more complex and eventually create humanity. She decides on the following:

Mana fuels everything supernatural related, spells, enchantments, ghosts and other undead, monsters, angels, demons, gods, so on and so forth. It is an incredibly pure source of energy that's powerful and awesome.

Spells are activated by creating spell circles via mana, the more complex the spell, the more it can do and the better it can function

Enchantments enhance items or people, giving them elemental advantage, physical boosts, or even a way to interact with incorporeal beings

Incorporeal beings, aka ghosts, come into existence when the previously living person has something pure they wished to do but ultimately couldn't due to unfortunate circumstances outside of their death.

Monsters are born from mana-infused beings. These monsters can sometimes use mana, and are sometimes capable of sentience. Other races of sentient humanoids can be born from mana-exposure as well.
