On Apr 6, 1917, The United States joined the allies--Britain, France, and Russia. Some of the reasons that the United States joined the war was that Germany resumed unrestricted Submarine Warfare, Germany sent the Zimmerman telegram which was deciphered by British intelligence, and because Germany wanted a alliance with Mexico.
