-SNCC and CORE went from door to door trying to get people to go register to vote. Schools were set up, registered people to vote. 3 workers went missing. 3 Civil Rights workers were murdered. Johnson offers 2 seats at the convention for MFDP.

-One major cause of this was that there were many different laws that regulated African Americans registration to vote.
60 thousand registering as Freedom Democrats. (M.F.D.P.) M.F.D.P. challenges the Democratic party to sit at the convention in Atlantic City. MFDP rejects offer from Johnson.
- This event brought out broadcasting events of racism and civil rights issues. This brought national attention and allowed for more people to want change.
