Rangers submitted in defence that the tax arrangements which had given rise to the large HMRC claim and alleged liabilities incurred on his watch. By seeking to use the HMRC claim to secure a warrant to arrest on the dependence, Mr Bain was unreasonably taking benefit from his own irregularities.
