The 6,0000-mile march the Chinese communists took to relocate from southeastern China to northwestern China to be safe near the Soviet border. The communists crossed 24 rivers and 18 mountain ranges to reach the Shaanxi province. This heroism displayed in the Long March persuaded many Chinese to join the CCP in the years following.
