Eisenhower started the flights again with the new U-2 spy planes, they were so high they couldn't be shot down but so good they could read a newspaper on the ground from 23,000 metres in the air. Kruschev was furious and sdaid each flight spat in the Soviet's face. He couldn't complain as he did not have proof nor did he want to admit he didn't have the technology.
