29 out 1303 ano - Bubonic Plague

Descrição:

The Bubonic Plague, also known as the Black Death, was the worst epidemic know to man. The epidemic originated from southwestern China and spread primarily from fleas. The main symptoms included inflamed lymph nodes, which were often in the groin, armpit, and neck. Over the course of around 100 years, the Mongols and other traders spread the disease to Europe, where it grew exponentially. The plague killed around 60-70% of its human victims, which was apparent in Europe. The European population dropped from 79 million to 60 million across the course of about 100 years, which left a little over 75% of the population remaining. The plague had a huge ecenomic impact, which was mostly caused by population issues. There were not enough filled jobs and as a result, supply for many foods and neccesary items struggled. (3.1)
