My first formal assignment was in 1954. Jack Percival sent me to the British Agricultural and Indus-trial Show in Baghdad, which was formally opened by King Faisal. I was asked to photograph the event. Percival gave me the job, and this was my task. I was left on my own. They were happy with the result.
