This was the day that the Fearless Girl statue was installed. It was put there to "send a message about workplace gender diversity and encourage companies to recruit women to their boards." The statue was met with a lot of controversy as it stands in opposition to the Charging Bull statue that is symbolic of what Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange stands for.
