Angelina Grimke wrote the pamphlet "An Appeal to the Christian Women of the Southern States" urging women to work for abolition. Though rejected in the South, the pamphlet was well received in the North.

Causes: Women started to push for abolition, and become a voice in America.

Impact: Helped motivate abolition, and help empower women eventaully to a bigger role.
