This was a revolt by the people who thought that the Indians were treated too kindly after Metacom's War. These people wanted the Indians dead after the mass casualties that had occurred from the war. They went out and killed most of the nearby Indian population. The revolt was stopped after Governor Berkeley of Virginia, sent out three hundred soldiers to stop the revolt. It was successful. The revolt lead to the creation of Bacon's Laws, which made Virginia a more democratic colony, by granting land to all people there, allowing public elections for government people, and a better tax representation.
