On June 5, the British army advanced in the form of a convoy of armored vehicles towards Tal Afar to retrieve them. However, they were ambushed by the Arab Resistance Forces. They destroyed the English convoy, including soldiers. The resistance forces used several armored cars, weapons, ammunition and supplies.
