By the early 100 AD's the Romans had taken over Gaul and much of central Europe. Under emporer Claudius, the Romans conquered most of the island of Britain. They also conquered Asia Minor, Mesopotamia, and the eastern coast of the Mediterranean. And all of the north African coast belinged to Rome as well.
